Local ceramics and pottery stores to shop from

Yes, I’m back again. I took a small break from writing on here just because life got in the way and I didn’t feel like sharing much to be honest. However, we up! One of the things holding me together have been morning rituals and the first thing I do in the morning is have a *decent cup of coffee in the morning.

*(debatable)

And as a result, I’ve started collecting cups from local ceramic online stores in and around Cape Town.

We’re lucky enough to have quite a few local brands making ceramic pieces and some who offer clay workshops, so you can learn how to make your own.

This past year, I’ve been checking out quite a few local ceramists selling their goods because first of all, they make great birthday gifts. Secondly, I’ve been sucked into the world of semi-silent (and very aesthetic) Korean vloggers and one of them has an exceptional cup collection. So naturally, I wanted one too.

Anyways, since then, I’ve bought mugs for friends and expanded my own collection.

If you have any suggestions, share away.  But here’s some of the brands and creators I have on my wishlist (and in my cupboard!)

Farah Hernandez Ceramics

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Where to shop: Via the online shop and selected stockists. Email info@farahhernandez.co.za for commissions and additional info.

Ash Ceramics

Where to purchase: You can shop via the online store or visit the studio to see what’s in stock. Use the contact form on the site to enquire about stock or any additional information.

Ceridwin Eyre

Tae Ceramics

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

Where to shop: Enquire about orders via Instagram DM. There are small stock drops and they sell out pretty fast, so be sure to keep an eye on the account.

Tarryn and Craig Ceramics

Hope this was helpful!
